Good Example Of Audience Targeting on TV?
I happen to watch both Pawn Stars and Jersey Shore. Go ahead make fun of me for watching Jersey Shore but I keep watching it to see if I spot Ian Fernando. To the point. I noticed that Stacker 2 runs commercials during each of these shows using the stars of the shows in the commercial. The funny thing is they run “different products” (or are they the same with different labels…..who knows?) at different price points. See below:

Are people that watch Pawn Stars more frugal? Are Jersey Shore Viewers stupider?
Either way there is certainly some demographic targeting going on here.

Used to use mtv.com as a target with PPV during and after episodes of jersey shore. You can get some really dumb stuff to convert.

Pawn Stars is a great show. I’d like to think I have a sophisticated taste in T.V. shows, but the truth is I’m a reality T.V. junkie. We are avid viewers in my house. Do you ever watch Operation Repo? Another guilty pleasure of ours.
@Rachel – I think we have similar horrific tastes in TV shows. I love reality too. The stupider the better. I watch Operation Repo although that show has become totally unbelievable lately so I don’t know if i’d call it a reality show. One of my favorites is Hardcore Pawn….It’s so much better then Pawn Stars.
@AdHustler – Oh we watch that too in our house. Sometimes I question whether the folks on Operation Repo are acting. Their speech sounds so forced at time, which makes me wonder if they are scripted. I still can’t believe that some of the things they do is legal.
Yea, that’s the same product. But mostly girls watch Jersey Shore, so they are probably targeting women. Hah

Yes jersey shore viewers are stupid. And Rachel operation repo is fake reenactments not actual repos so im sure most of them are fake
